Blurred Turtle: Pomp keyboards
Blurred Turtle - Blurred Turtle

Those who think that composing and publishing serious and artistic music is easy must rethink! The self-titled album Blurred Turtle took two years of hard work to get released. Two years in creating and composing 13 instrumental tracks. Grand musical build-ups and majestic resolutions incorporating rich pomp keyboards with orchestral and choir sounds and electric guitar. Actually all tracks are under 4 minutes and composed by Tim Brown the man behind the Blurred Turtle project.
Tim Brown has been composing and recording solo material for about 20 years. Previously Brown performed in rock bands through the 80’s and early 90’s. All songs on the new album is recorded and produced by Brown himself, and in addition the album artwork and layout is also by Tim Brown. In 2012 Brown released his debut Pleasure Strike. On the new record Brown continues his exploration of keyboard and guitar composition creating music that veers from dramatic cinematic explorations to more pomp-inspired prog. As mentioned the songs are short but they contains much of what every prog head love.
Unusual cord structures, much nice keyboards, contrast between fast and slow, and harder moments with more soft moments. Often with much grandiosity, but it sounds very good and the songs are well crafted and interesting. In addition Brown sometimes supply the song collection with will to do some experimentation the fits very good. Blurred Turtle is a keyboards driven records with much melodious music.
