Gross Misconduct: When the sun crosses the celestial equator.

Gross Misconduct - Equinox

Canadian thrash veterans drops their third album this Friday, and like their last record they continue to focus primarily on death metal, including a large portion of  progressive parts, making their music a comfortable listening.

Formed in 1999, it took eight years until their debut hit the shelves with The Process of Indoctrination in 2007, an album consisting of frantic thrash. On their 2011 follow-up they had shifted their sound to become a progressive death metal band. On their latest effort they have built upon the foundation from their two earlier releases, making the faster parts faster and harder, and the slower parts more breathable and pleasurable. In the lyric section the band brings in themes like personal tragedy, death, the natural world and observation on the human condition.
