White Coven have a new album called Overseas out now, and is a Spanish band who plays 70’s inspired rock originals. They bring back those dirty sounds and riff laden songs, but add some prog, southern, blues and even funk influences. This is classic 70’s blues based rock brought to recognition by a whiskey-voiced female Spanish seductress. Sara Lapiendra will wrap you in her spell on Sedative and take you to White Coven’s lair where you will never be heard from again. But you won’t care ……because if this is torture….
Mike the ravenous maw of blues-suffused tune age harbors a global appetite, consuming the sweet and savory, bitter and benevolent, from Austin to Zaragoza. White Coven adroitly cycle through fragrance and flavor, texture and tempo, whilst remaining ever true to that bewitching blue hue. Well written and orchestrated progressive blues. This sounds like I always wished Fleetwood Mac sounded like!
