Moonaadem: Aiming for a darker sound
Moonaadem - Néant

According to Metal Archieves there are 49 active and not active metal band from Lebanon. One of them was Black Folly that played post black metal. Reasonable central in that band was the multi-instrumentalist Marwan Antonios. Black Folly operated between 2008 and 2017, but changed the name last year to Moonaadem. The reason was that Antonios wanted to change his musical direction. The result was the self-titled debut album released last year.
The album has lyrical themes about life, death, grief and nature and the music is melodic, atmospheric black metal. The one man band has long been influenced by black metal music and all its sub-genres. He started his musical career back in the year 2011 by recording his first demo for his previous project Black Folly entitled Mon Deuil Ma Guillotine followed by five other releases the latest of them being Euphorie En Noir. The main goal for Moonaadem is as far as I can understand being making art that describes the worthlessness of life!
The single Néant was released three days ago and the lyrics are taken from the poem of the French poet Louise Colet. Néant is the first song from Moonaadem’s upcoming second album. Néant translated to English is nothingness.
