Windmill: Catchy memorable parts
Windmill - Tribus

The Windmill are a Norwegian progressive rock band formed in 2001 in the outskirts of Oslo. The music is influenced by several bands from the golden years of the seventies, such as Genesis, Pink Floyd, Camel and others. The debut album To Be Continued was released May 2010, and the follow up The Continuation was released in 2013 to great reviews around the world. Now After 5 years The Windmill are ready to release the new album Tribus, their very first on Apollon Records! A Norwegian label actually. The music on Tribus, as on previous album is a nice complicated eclectic side of neo prog and more 70s influenced classic rock, well balanced and with catchy memorable parts.
Tribus is mixed and mastered by Karl Groom from Threshold which is a wise choice. The Windmill have blended their inspirations in an attempt to fashion their own idiosyncratic sound. In the main they’ve achieved that, with clever melodic twists loitering in many tracks. Just to give a small hint just put IQ, Marillion, Pendragon, Deep Purple, Pink Floyd, Alan Parsons, The Flower Kings and the above mentioned influences in a blender. Mix them together with an apt amount of melody, freshness and inspiration and then you have The Windmill. Take a listen and judge yourself is my advice.
