La Batteria are a new Italian instrumental band hailing from a wide variety of musical backgrounds performing music in the style of horror soundtrack kings Goblin and Marc 4. The songwriting are put short very influensced from the heyday of Italian movie glamorama music for images made between 1968 and 1980. The soundtrack works of Ennio Morricone, Stelvio Cipriani, Alessandro Alessandroni and Bruno Nicolai. On Batteria 2 there are six guests musicians and three of them sings on the tracks Eldorado and Fuga. Batteria 2 consists of sixteen other tracks and are a double LP.
Despite playing on vintage instruments, the band are hardly a retro prog band. The reason is that Batteria incorporating many modern sounds and styles into their original compositions. Such influences as dance music, synth-pop, hip-hop, electronic and alternative rock. Batteria have some similarity with band like Zombi, Anima Morte and Zoltan.
