Savannah, Georgia has a lot to offer, including the fine band Baroness. In the middle of June the band will release their fifth offering Gold And Grey. John Baizley is the lead singer and he plays guitar, keyboards and percussion. In addition he is the song writer in Baroness. He says about Gold And Grey, «Our goal is, was, and will always be to write increasingly superior, more honest and compelling songs, and to develop a more unique and challenging sound. I’m sure we have just finished our best, most adventurous album to date. We dug incredibly deep, challenged ourselves and recorded a record I’m positive we could never again replicate».

Baroness was founded in 2003 in Savannah even though all members of the band hail from Lexington,Virginia! The musicians in Baroness do is let their music speak for itself in the form of their live performances. Their touring schedule is relentless, with the band often playing over 250 gigs a year! Two years later they released a split CD with the band Unpersons titled A Grey Sigh In The Flower Husk. The debut album Red Album came in 2007 and the stunning psychedelic artwork was conceived and drawn by band member John Baizely.
