Soto: With an eclectic, international mix of styles
Soto - Origami

Soto is the culmination of one of today’s premier heavy metal front men and vocalists, Jeff Scott Soto, cast with a union of talented young musicians to bring listeners a slamming blend of melody, and muscle. Joining Jeff in Soto are members of his most recent solo band, who he insisted on having along in this new music venture. Jorge Salan (Lead Guitarist), BJ (keys, guitars), Edu Cominato (Drums), and Tony Dickinson (Bass) complete this fantastic line-up. Soto adds, «These guys come from different parts of the world, and bring their own influence to make this one of the best new metal bands on the scene. From the US to Europe to South America, they have an eclectic, international mix of style and prestige that keeps them all on their toes». The title track Origami is an aggressive fast-paced straight forward dive into the metal side of the group set alongside dynamic vocal harmonies.
Soto has released two albums: Inside the Vertigo in 2014, and Divak in 2016. Jeff Scott Soto is an acclaimed vocalist with his bands, Sons Of Apollo, Trans-Siberian Orchestra, W.E.T., and ex Yngwie Malmsteen, Talisman and Journey. Soto derived from the idea of Jeff Scott Soto wanting to return to his heavier roots. Jeff Scott Soto embarked on the super group Sons Of Apollo alongside Mike Portnoy, Derek Sherinian, Billy Sheehan and Bumblefoot. The song BeLie is driven by pounding drums and grinding guitars with Jeff Scott Soto’s powerful vocals delivering melodic hooks.
Soto delivers tons of nice and often memorable hooks and riffs, and the opening track HyperMania mixes some electronic and darker elements with a punchy and fascinating chorus. The album features elegant artwork by Gustavo Sazes known for his corporation with band as Machine Head, Amaranthe and Arch Enemy.
