Orbstruct: Turning negative circumstances into a blessing

Orbstruct - Phobos Rising

The Ukrainian band Orbstruct is a duo consisting of Yevhen Goreon Kravchenko – lyrics, vocals, guitars, bass and Vladimir Fok Lok Belotserkovsky – drums. They draw inspiration from bands such as Bloodbath, At The Gates, The Haunted, Arch Enemy or Carcass. The main ideological component from Ukrainian death metallers Orbstruct is inspired by the idea of agnosticism, atheism, self-improvement and self-development. Purely from a human, material point of view through the recognition of the inevitability of negative consequences from their actions or the events of the surrounding World. After which finding a way out of a difficult situation and turning negative circumstances into a blessing. Two days ago the band released the album Phobos Rising. The track East Of You,

From a spiritual point of view, the recognition of the main statements of agnosticism in relation to religion and higher powers. And while an atheistic view of the very participation of these forces in a person’s life is an indifferent or negative attitude towards this affirmation and recognition of oneself, a person as a thinking being, the first and only source vitality and energy, and the sole master of his past, present, and future.

The main ideological inspirers for Goreon and Fok Lok for the whole time of writing and recording Phobos Rising were mostly Swedish death metal bands, without forgetting the influence of the American school of death metal, which slightly removed from the foreground the desire to focus on the melodic component of the compositions and was mixed with a powerful aspiration, drawn-in riffs, and a combination of melodic and energetic moments. The song Venus,

For the last two decades, Kharkov has been known around the world as the capital of Ukrainian Black Metal, which influenced the work of Orbstruct, given that the participants themselves took part in many Kharkov black metal projects, some of which are known far beyond Ukraine, such as Barkasth, Elderblood, KZOHH, Ygg, among others.

Another interesting fact about the album is that Phobos Rising was recorded and mixed at ViterMusic Studio, a studio where most of the masterpieces by the mastodons of the Ukrainian black metal scene DRUDKH were recorded. At the moment, the band is already writing their sophomore studio album. The recording sessions are scheduled to begin in late 2019 – early 2020.

Slikt krydderet finner man blant annet i musikk.
