Victims Of Contagion: Members have come and gone…..
Victims Of Contagion - Lamentations Of The Flesh Bound

Victims Of Contagion from the steel city Pittsburgh plays technical death metal and have returned with the album Lamentations Of The Flesh Bound. Five years of silence is a long time for the fans, but finally they are back. Victims Of Contagion earned heaps of critical recognition after the release of their debut EP Parasitic Unborn which featured Bobby Koelble of Death. On their new album they have many guest musician Michael Keene of The Faceless as well as Phil Tougas of First Fragment, Equipoise, Chthe’ilist, Serocs, and Funebrarum. Sisyphus (The Virtue Of Suicide) is a mid-tempo song with fair amount of nice use of extreme metal artefacts.
Victims Of Contagion have very skilled musicians and of course their music is technical, but they also use surprising elements as very beautiful use of piano in the beginning of the song The Promethean Flame. The idyll is of course soon broken and it becomes raw and hard and with much groove riff and use of arpeggio.
Victims Of Contagion was founded in 2005 the group set out to be something unique within the local scene while playing the style of music they love. Through the years various members have come and gone but the goal has remained the same. Utilizing influences not only ranging from multiple metal genres/subgenres but anything of musical interest to its members while retaining heaviness and technical ability Victims Of Contagion are on a path of creativity all its own.
