Donarhall: Deep melodies supported by synthesizers
Donarhall - Helvegr

Donarhall is an instrumental atmospheric black metal one-man project from the far north of Germany. All music is composed, played and mixed by Eugen Kohl. The new album is entitled Helvegr and is shaped by melancholy and the infinite void. The project Donarhall was the beginning of a passionate and very versatile career of the very talented musician from Germany, Eugen Kohl from the bands Crypt Witch, Death Carrier, Hexengrab, Nihilisticon, Sinister Downfall), also known under the pseudonym Gnev. The appearance of Donarhall was marked by the album Misanthrope, which saw the light of day in the winter of 2017 and marked the beginning of the activity of the musician.
Despite the rich variety of already released music projects, albums and splits, Donarhall is still the main brainchild of Eugen Kohl. As it grew, Donarhall developed and improved from raw black metal to melodic and atmospheric black metal. Synthesizers have been added and the quality has improved, so that listeners don’t miss a single detail of the music.
Helvegr consists of eight soundtracks, each with its own character and poem. And this time Eugen Kohl again deliver an album without vocal. Extensive and deep melodies are supported by synthesizers and harmoniously blend in with the singing lead and solo guitars, thus bringing listeners to the distant world of their imagination, creating more and more pictures and images. Furthermore, a clear influence of melodic doom metal has flowed into the album Helvegr. Probably the music is for fans of Mgła, Forteresse and UADA.
