The Dalton Correction came out of nowhere and suddenly I was exposed for the music of the band. It was in Buenos Aires, more precisely in the mythical Flores neighborhood where the band found their own identity. An eclectic mix of Argentine early rock roots combined with high doses of the most pure prog/sonic/psych DNA, touches of cinematic soundtracks, raw garage and even country. It was necessary to traverse the ocean, to follow all the paths connecting Berlin to Argentina to obtain the unique rock-blend offered by this infamous South American power quartet. The name of the album Beware Of Yarara refers to a snake as far as I can understand. Obviously, such animals are simply part of the pertinent folklore. The Dalton Correction have elements of southern rock especially in the guitar department with the western-compatible twang idiom. On the other hand there are a fair amount of fuzz drained guitars and some minor tremolo parts. Groovy rhythms are the foundation together with often hypnotic respective sequences and the guitar is in the center of the music. In some of the slower tracks the music is rather bluesy.
