Elements Blackest is the upcoming new album from ShadowThrone and the the rumor says that the music has many layers to be discovered! ShadowThrone have revealed the new line-up, which sees Zilath Meklhum, former lead singer of Voltumna. The cover work was made by the South American dark / occult artist Nestor Avalos, already working with Moonspell, Rotting Christ, Dark Funeral, Vital Remains and many others. The Italian black metallers ShadowThrone announced the release of the new album, «Elements’ Blackest Legacy ’, which will be available from 27 September 2019 via Non Serviam Records, a label with which they have recently signed a contract with».
The band says, «We are honored to start working with Non Serviam Records. We have been working hard for almost a year on the new album and we are certain that this contract will add an extra value to it. Non Serviam Records had repeatedly heard Elements Blackest Legacy promo communicating to us the enthusiasm of wanting to produce the album. I find it a very positive approach because there was no coldness or detachment and everything took place in an atmosphere of mutual collaboration».
Ricardo Gelok, owner of the Dutch label, comments, «Some time ago we received the ShadowThrone promo. After listening to a few seconds of the first song, I was anxious to hear more. The music has so many layers that I had to discover them one by one. After listening to the entire album, there was only one thing we could do, namely to offer ShadowThrone a recording contract. It is a real pleasure to work with the band, they are professional in their music and friendly in communication».
ShadowThrone were founded by Steph from italian gothic metal band Theatres Des Vampires. After living ten years of big experiences with Theater Des Vampires he decides to leave the band at the end of last South American Tour 2013 and start with a new personal project more close to his style and roots. ShadowThrone’s sound is influenced by bands like Bathory, Emperor, Mercyful Fate..from trash metal to black metal to symphonic soundtracks.
The first ep/demo was called Through The Gates Of Dead Sun, and realized in 2015.The Finnish composer Samuli T. Makela appears in Through the Gates of Dead Sun, with the track Hymn of the Tyrant. During summer 2016 ShadowThrone begins to record the first full album Demiurge Of Shadow, (out January 14th 2017) and signs for Japanese label Zero Dimensional Records. To promote album ShadowThrone toured and gigs with Absu, Darkend, Rotting Christ, Necrodeath, Carpathian Forest, Batushka,V oltumna….like support band. During year 2018 Serj Lundgren left the band replaced by Zilath Meklhum (ex Voltumna).
