Golgotha: Mythical band
Golgotha – Erasing The Past

Mythical Spanish death doomsters Golgatha have just finished the recording process of their long-awaited new album. The band has revealed the cover art, track list and the first advance single of what will be known as Erasing The Past, the band’s fourth album set to be released through Xtreem Music on October 22nd both on CD and 12″ LP formats. The new record would will be financed through a crowdfunding campaign. The track Disorted Tears,
Golgotha was born as a parallel project by Vicente Payá, guitarist in one of the first bands of spanish death metal called Unbounded Terror. That band was formed from the ashes of band Toxic Waste, and after that they were called Putrefeact Monstruosity until April 1991, when they adopted the name Unbounded Terror.
Vicente Payá had issues that emerged from the Unbounded Terror style but much slower and heavier. For this he contacted vocalist Amón López from a local band to record the first demo in June 1993 and Repulse Records are interested in editing the material in a mini CD and in January 1994 the mini CD debut called Caves Of Mind was released.
We go fast forward to the present. Erasing The Past is the band’s return to the label Repulse Records who recently mentioned released their debut EP Caves Of Mind. In this way Erasing The Past is back to the past. This new album keeps the two founding members Vicente Payá on guitars Amón López on vocals. The new album is surely their best and most mature work to date, with an impressive production by Miguel Angel Riutort Mega, at the Psychosomatic Recording Studio.
Golgotha is actually a named used by many different metal band and there are at least 17 band as far as I can figure out that are named Golgotha.
