Australia old-school death metal/grindcore band Cryptivore has released the new album Unseen Divinity. Chris Anning is the sole musician in Crytivore, and he handle of course all the instruments and the vocal.
Cryptivore was first conceived in 2015 by Chris Anning with the idea of writing short, precise, and catchy death metal/grindcore songs with an old-school vibe, drawing influences from the early days of Carcass, Dismember and Benediction. Anning, currently living in the northern suburbs of Brisbane, Australia, had already been in numerous metal, grind, and punk bands since 1995. The track Sickening Exaltation,
Handling all instruments and vocals, this allowed Chris Anning to create freely without any outside influences. The natural end results were compiled into the Unseen Divinity demo, which saw a digital and CD self-release in late November 2017 which was then re-released on cassette via Blood Harvest Records in early 2018.
