Tommy from The Who, and Soap Opera from The Kinks was maybe two of the first Rock Opera. Since then there have been many records that fit the title rock opera. A new Rock Opera project is Flaming Row and their new album. The Pure Shine. December 10th is set to be the release date. The album will be released as double CD including an instrumental mix of the whole album.
Flaming Row is a band-project formed by the German musician Martin Schnella in 2008. His initial idea was creating a concept album with many different musicians, especially singers, both female and male. The album Elinoire came in 2011, and Mirage – A Portrayal Of Figur came five years ago. Both album with epic music and epic music crew. In addition both album was well received all around the world.
The new album The Pure Shine is a progressive rock opera by Melanie Mau & Martin Schnella based on the novel The Dark Tower by Stephen King. Because of Schella diverse influence from many different styles of music, Flaming Row does not contest just one genre. So there is a mixture of prog, metal, rock, prog metal, mainstream and powerful ballads contained within Flaming Row.
As we could expect the guest musicians on The Pure Shine are many, clever and well-known.
