Iron Rider is a heavy three piece bluesy stoner/doom band from Brooklyn in New York City. They are rooted in delta blues and are a tribute to the classic and timeless cult doom and psych bands of the 60’s and 70’s like Black Sabbath, Pentagram and Pagan Altar to name a few. They also pack a blend of thick and sludgy droned out rhythms inspired by music like Kyuss, Meshuggah and Pelican with a touch of loud dirty grunge similar to the likes of Dinosaur JR, Soundgarden and the earlier works of Nirvana and Hole. The EP was recorded, mixed and mastered by Alex Mead-Fox at Spaceman Studios in Brooklyn, New York. Iron Rider was formed in 2017 at Brooklyn, New York by Mark Grillo (Guitars, Vocals), Julian Agneta (Bass, Keyboards) and Michael Livathinopoulos (drums) who was later replaced by Doug Plisic. The lyrics deals with personal experiences and horror themes, and even if there a blues edge the band have a steady doom side that dominate. The track Bonfire is a real heavy and nice song, and An Old Low is slow and with blues vibes. The band offer some real killer guitar solos and have a fascinating sound.
