Una Seconda Strana Sensazione is the third album by the Italian band Falena. This is a concept album, between our past and our hypothetical future, telling the inner vicissitudes of our protagonist, Mr. F.
Mr. F is an anti-hero, an apparently normal man, conscious of his experience, but with a complex personality, which makes the normality his strength. He can feed on both the beauty and the demons surrounding himself, by always finding the strength and the desire to regenerate and to leave every day. You can hear him whispering, «just the normality will save us… ». The title track Una Seconda Strana Sensazione (A Second Strange Sensation),
Falena was founded in Rocca Di Pappa, Italy in 2003 with founder members Andrea Trinca (bass), Emiliano Sellati (vocals) and Alessandro Fusacchia (guitar). The sound project Falena goal was to create something that contained everything that had musically influenced and interested them. A sound of difficult location generated by the individual experiences of the members of the group. Alternative, rock, prog and indie are some of the classifications given to their music over the years. The first line-up of the moths included in addition to the three components already mentioned, also Domenico Ferri on drums and Marco Rusigniuolo on guitars, musicians already active in the Roman scene.
With this line-up the album Impressioni was released in April 2007, the first work by Falena, totally self-produced. At the end of 2007 Ferri left the group and was replaced only around the middle of 2008 by Rossano Acciari. From inception they have maintained a busy live activity in and around Rome, and their accumulated musical influences and backgrounds have seen them variously labelled as alt-Rock, progressive and Indie.
