Sula was before municipality merger the 409th largest by area out of the 422 municipalities in Norway. Only he 59-square-kilometre (23 sq mi). The band Eluvian found the Sula landscape so inspiring that they recorded their debut EP The Doom Of Edendalk on Sula. Eluvian is a Norwegian melodic death metal band and The Doom Of Edendal was recorded, mixed and mastered by Emil Reitan in his Icicle Studios.
Icicle Studios is run by multi-instrumentalist and guitarist of the experimental metal band Frostbitt, Emil Reitan. Having experience from a variety of different genres ranging from acoustic to extreme metal. He knows exactly what needs to be in the forefront of your music. He have worked with bands and artists such as Warhelo, Norwegian Metalhead, Frostbitt and Lost Woods.
The Doom Of Edendalk have a very nice cover art that illustrates Eluvian`s musical world. Lyrically Edendalk is just one of many cities that fell during the military campaigns of Ogrukad. His goal to cleanse the land and recreate it in his own image continues on the next album. Eluvian obviously likes fantasy literature and creates his distinctive lyrical universe. Fascinating!
Eluvian was formed in 2017 at the cold and mountainous west coast of Norway by Mads Smebakk (guitar and keys) and Markus Olsen (vocals and lyric).
