Franck Carducci’s band probably has access to a time machine, as their ability to channel the 70s world of prog rock and roll is impressively engaging. With a modern production and considerable skill at hand, this flashback sounds familiar and fresh at the same time. The album The Answer is the third effort from Frank Carducci and the third with Theatrical Rock. With a total time 69:48 the album offers much music! The bluesy track Asylum featuring Derek Sherenian with a wonderful organ solo,
Multi-instrumentalist Franck Carducci (bass, keyboards, guitar, drums, etc.) grew up in a family where music is a way of life. At the age of 5 he made his first experiences with a Hammond organ, proceeded to learn the guitar later on and joined the first rock band when he was 14 years old. Eventually he was interested in more complex music, and embedded prog with all his heart. Especially band like Pink Floyd and Genesis was and is his greatest sources of inspiration. The AOR track Slave To Rock N Roll,
Carducci learn both bass and drums providing an in depth understanding of the various instruments involved in a classic rock band. The culmination of those experiences gave him the ability to create the various arrangements to the songs he’s compiling today. Between the ages of 20 and 30, he played with about 20 different bands and was involved in the recording of 15 different albums. Two of these found him paired with French female folk singer Yanne Matis with whom he toured throughout Europe.
Carducci is ambitious but he has a fascinating playfulness when composing music, and it is obvious that he enjoys playing music and having fun with music. Carducci has loads of enthusiasm and sincerity and much willingness to do things on his own premises. The track (Love Is) The Answer have much nice instrumentation including didgeridoo and very good keyboards lines and a spledid chorus.
