The project of the Chilean musician Carlos Torrejón, includes 6 instrumental cuts recorded in his home studio. Torrejónwas born in Concepcion, Chile, and lived since 2007 in the city of Santiago. He has been making noise since the mid-1990s, being part of several experimental groups, among which are Lovecraft, Fosfeno and Am Battom.
This last group had him in his ranks until the end of 2011. From that moment he focuses on other areas of music, writing in media, organizing festivals and providing advice to new groups of the local scene.
This is how in the middle of 2017 in Carlos Torrejón`s, mind the idea of creating a new project begins to decant, this time with compositions focused in a different way to the work developed with his previous bands. A year later, and after fruitless meetings with former colleagues, he decided to start the pre-production and composition of a new album, this time in solo format under the moniker Martia Pelepsi.
In an impromptu study in his department of Santiago, and surrounded by the confinement and the heat that suffocates the city, he began the task of structuring and recording his compositions. To do this, and in order to transmit the minimalism and simplicity of an anguishing recording, captured the guitars and string instruments with the help of a cellphone microphoneand Adobe Audition audio editing software. The recording, mixing and mastering of the new material is done intermittently between November 2018 and November 2019.
