Ayreon: From sixty-four different countries…..

Ayreon - Electric Castle Live And Other Tales

Ayreon Electric Castle Live And Other Tales comes as a Triple LP / Double CD + DVD / BD. A documentation of last year’s pretty spectacular performance of Ayreon’s third album Into The Electric Castle. Tilburg’s 013 arena hosted (as it did for the Ayreon Universe a few years earlier) during four evenings as Lucassen and his band with a number of celebrities celebrated the 20th anniversary of Into The Electric Castle in front of 12,000 enthusiastic fans from sixty-four different countries. Ayreon is obviously an artist who is loved by people around the world! It is well deserved, then, in my opinion because Ayreon usually plays fantastic music. The track Amazing Flight In Space,

Arjen Lucassen states «Since it was the album’s 20th anniversary and we had just released a remixed and remastered version, the opportunity was perfect for a live version, says. The performances of Ayreon Universe were such an amazing experience for everyone involved and lots of fans wanted to see more concerts so we agreed to perform the entire Electric Castle record on 013 but also run a song from all of my side projects under the name Other Tales». The track Garden Of Emotions,

Into The Electric Castle was released in 1998 and is a classic tale of an epic seeker for an indefinite period in an unknown place. It tells of eight individuals who are guided by a mysterious voice with the mission of finding the mysterious electric castle. The original record includes Fish (Highlander), Lucassen (Hippie), Edwin Balogh (Roman), Anneke Van Giersbergen (Egyptian), Damian Wilson (Knight) and Edward Reekers (Man Of The Future) who all perform their roles in the concert version as well. The track Castle Hall,

Sometimes the twenty-two musicians and singers in the impressive lineup are found by Lucassen’s faithful co-musicians Thijs Van Leer (Focus), Simone Simons (Epica), John Jaycee Cuijpers (Praying Mantis), Marcela Bovio and musicians Joost Van Den Broek, Johan Van Stratum, Marcel Singor, Ferry Duijsens, Bob Wijtsma and Ben Mathot.

Slikt krydderet finner man blant annet i musikk.
