Hypnotic Nausea – The Death Of All Religion

Hypnotic Nausea is an experimental heavy rock band from Greece (Athens) with electronic and ambient elements in their sound. The band was formed in August 2013 and in May 2015 they recorded live their first concept album Hypnosis as an attempt to capture the analog feel of their sound. Their main focus is to create soundscapes with their music, which will function as a highlight in the general idea of conceptual art.
Apart from the music, all the band’s artwork are created by their bass player George P. (Gmonkey Cartoon). Two days and one year ago Hypnotic Nausea released their second concept album The Death Of All Religion. Harry Harrison states enthusiastic about Hypnotic Nausea on their Bandcamp, «It’s like Queensrÿche & Tool got together to make one all-encompassing album. The Death of All Religions is a concept album that focuses on the ways in which organized religion operates in the context of a society that has not developed the appropriate defenses to avoid spiritual enslavement. People who serve people with thirst for power, personal gain and imposition, under the look of an invented god. The track Priest,
The band states, «Death Of All Religions guides you to a journey full of images. It’s neither catchy, nor simple, nor digestible and the listener needs to give time to it in order to be rewarded. At this point please allow me to underline the attention that the band paid to the artwork, for the vinyl and of course for the comic book that tells the story, but also the attention they gave to the lyrics too. The concept focuses on the ways in which organized religion operates in the context of a society that hasn’t developed the appropriate defenses to avoid spiritual enslavement».
Hypnotic Nausea has performed many shows in all around the country, alongside with acts such as Crippled Black Phoenix, Yawning Man, Karma to Burn, House Of Broken Promises, Sasquatch, Primordial, Nightstalker, Planet Of Zeus, 1000mods, Need, Universe217, Poem, Mother of Millions, Tuber, Naxatras and so on.
