Connect The Circle: Spin on repeat in your head…..
Connect The Circle – This Is Madness

Connect The Circle is a new Norwegian progressive heavy metal band with ex-members from bands like Rage In Eden, Ashes To Ashes, Forbidden Forest, Perfect NME, Lucid etc. This Is Madness is their debut album. The band states, «we don’t care if it’s … glam, death, power or ordinary metal, we just want to have fun and play our songs». It’s an attitude I like. The track In My Darkest Hour, A quiet song and a song that showcase a good vocalist, and some similarity of Queensryche.
True art is defined by the difference between stealing and copying, and that is something Connect The Circle are well aware of. When you play their debut album This Is Madness it will make you nod your head in recognition, but at the same time you can rest assure that you’ve never heard a band that sounds like Connect The Circle. The track Jester, is a rougher song but with plenty of good hooks or chorus and is a fine vocal melody.
Connect The Circle deliver heavy metal with a progressive edge is combined with melodic and distinctive vocals, and some melodies are dangerous in the sense that they might spin on repeat in your head while you try to sleep at night, and give you a hard time getting up in the morning. Maybe some rougher guitar parts had been a good idea? The track United States Of Opression that is my favorite song on the album.
Line-up: Vocals: Arild Fevang, Drums: Robert William Guitars: Kenneth Brastad and Bass: Raymond Smith.
