Serpentyne: Lyrics suggest some kind of a self-isolation…..
Serpentyne – Away From The World

Serpentyne is a Lavishly Orchestrated Symphonic Rock Band hailing from London. Serpentyne was created in London in 2010 by founder members Maggiebeth Sand and Mark Powell, inspired by a combination of early music, folk, Celtic, rock and metal.
UK symphonic metal band Serpentyne have released their new music video Away From The World. The song is about escaping from reality to a dream-like state in which the mind creates a world of its own.
The Serpentyne vocalist Maggiebeth Sand says, «We’d like to send our best wishes to all during this unfortunate time, hoping that everyone stays safe and well. Since the lyrics suggest some kind of a self-isolation, whether in a fantasy world or real life, we thought that they seem appropriate during this current situation of worldwide lock down».
Serpentyne combines a unique mix of operatic orchestral styles with powerful riffs and dramatic themes about historical figures and legends. The band’s previous album The Serpent’s Kiss featured mythic & medieval themes, combined with a hard rock metal sound. In 2019 Serpentyne released their new album Angels Of The Night. The title track Angel Of The Night,
Angels Of The Night has been inspired by dark, strong, unusual, or special female characters, such as Lady Macbeth (from Shakespeare’s story), Lady Serpentyne (from the legend of Medusa), Boudicca (the Celtic Queen and warrior), Aphrodite (the Greek goddess of love), The Call of the Banshee (the dark fairy of the Celts), and of course, Angel Of The Night! (The story of a girl who was turned into a vampire by her lover). Not only the lyrics of this album have a darker tone, but the music as well, it has more of a dramatic feel within the dynamics of the development of each story.
