Retched – Horrific

Retched was founded in 1988 and then they recorded The Overlord Messiah, but due to the circumstances the album first was released 29 years later. Now Retched are back with a new single entitled Horrific, which is the title-track of the band’s upcoming album, set to be released later this year.
Accordingly to the band, Horrific will present an evolved sound when compared to their previous effort The Overlord Messiah, as this new release will be more thrash-orientated. Retched draws influence from bands like Iron Maiden, Judas Priest and Black Sabbath. David A. DerMinasian and he is the solo artist for Retched and paying homage to Old-School Metal To do this, the core of Retched is guitar driven metal that takes you deep into a fantasy world where good vs. evil plays out at the hands of a destructive Lord who is destroying villages and land. DerMinasian states, «I am a Thrash Metal solo artist who is working on my new full length album. I started out in 1988 as a professional player in my former metal band called Avatar originally from Fresno Ca. We quickly became a headlining act but suffered many setbacks and bad decisions and finally we disbanded and I left the scene in 1991». The track Pharaohs Curse,
«I still played music but more just for fun until 2012 when I wrote a song called Horrific. I suddenly became inspired and I began again this time with all the modern advances in the music industry. It will be on my new release coming sometime in 2020. The EP I named The Overlord Messiah was abandoned for twenty eight years until I released it in 2016 forty days later I got signed with Alone Records in Greece for a limited time».
