Juice Oh Yeah: With fascinating and unique music…..
Juice Oh Yeah - Juice Oh Yeah

Juice Oh Yeah is a klezmer doom band. Their refined and improved sound might be labelled some kind of avant prog doom metal that combines the brainy thought experiments of prog rock with the sludgy heaviness of extreme doom metal in quite a unique and highly listenable way.
The band states, «Everything, you can hear on this album (fretless bass, drums, Fender Rhodes, Korg ms20, guzheng, 12 string guitar, banjo, etc.) was played, recorded and mixed by Boris Shulman and Sviatoslav Lobanov with assistance of Danila Danilov, Petr Muzliaev and Alexey Uvarov for which we are grateful».
Juice Oh Yeah was formed in Saint-Petersburg, Russia in early 2012 by the members of The Flash Fever. Inspired by their doom-rockers friends Grave Disgrace Boris Shulman and Sviatoslav Lobanov got into such masters of heavy sound as Earth, Sleep and Electric Wizard and decided to try their hand in a similar genre.
The project was supposed to represent an ironic vision of stoner-doom music. Sviatoslav Lobanov who previously played guitar only started out as a drummer whereas Boris Shulman was using a fretless bass plugged through the sound effect chain into all amplifiers found at the rehearsal room. Soon the first song Kogha was written, recorded and self-released.
By 2013 the first CD Sila Vselennoy was released via the Addicted Label. The album was recorded and mixed by musicians themselves at the rehearsal room according to the DIY ideology, which can be easily heard in the quality of sound. Song lyrics describe the transitioning state of mind between the reality and dreaming, the process of falling asleep, and hypnagogic state.
In 2014 Juice Oh Yeah toured over Europe and in 2016 in Russia with Pressor. After the last tour the work on the second album began, its release is announced for the spring, 2020 on Addicted Label.
Due to the complexity of new songs and the richer arrangements the line-up was widen to trio in 2018. Alexander Markov, who was the drummer of The Flash Fever from 2012 until their break up in 2016, joined Juice Oh Yeah while Sviatoslav Lobanov switched to trombone and synthesizers.
Current members: Boris Shulman – fretless bass, vocal, Sviatoslav Lobanov – trombone, synthesizers and Alexander Markov – drums.
