Liquid Flesh offers Death metal inspired by horror movies, and in addition their new album have a stunning horror movie cover art. With this first impression the listener is catapulted into the fascinating universe of Liquid Flesh.
4 years after their debut full length Spontaneous Liquefaction, Liquid Flesh are back with Chair Liquide and its 8 songs of melting death metal.
Now as a trio with Putrid Bruce (Epitaphe, Influence Néfaste) on bass and vocals, the music of Liquid Flesh is now more sophisticated but more radical, characterized by a relentless punk energy but still driven by an old school horror/sci-fi vibe.

The lyrics is sung in French and I applaud this attitude to sing in their native language. The lyrics are a direct tribute to the French film noir and B-movies, as much as the terrible (but cult) voice acting of the 80s. Chair Liquide offers another soundtrack to their liquid cinematic universe! The album will be released in September 2020 via Metal Is The Law.

In this album, the band mixes the groove of cult bands like Entombed and Carcass with the creepy and raw stuffs from Autopsy or Master. Nonetheless, the band’s music is not a copycat and you can easily slip into their own universe just by watching the unusual cover art, a great painting by Gastric Luke (guitars), which depicts the main influences of the trio: 80’s horror movies and cinema as a whole.
Liquid Flesh is an old school death metal trio from the French Alps. Influenced by bands like Entombed, Celtic Frost, Undergang or Autopsy, the band plays catchy songs with purulent atmospheres, drawing inspiration from sci-fi and horror movies.
The band was founded in 2014 by active members of the Grenoble metal scene, Gastric Luke on guitar and Glaviar on drums (both from the band Demenseed), Gerbator on vocals (from Nocturnal Depression) and David Ordure on bass. After some gigs between France and Italy, the quatuor quickly records its debut album Spontaneous Liquefaction, which contains seven death metal compositions with synth parts and many references to horror movies. Gastric Luke is in charge of production, mastering and artwork.
In 2018, Putrid Bruce, also vocalist of Epitaphe and Influence Néfaste, joins the band as vocalist and bass player: the band then becomes a power trio. The music of Liquid Flesh is now more sophisticated but more radical, characterized by a relentless punk energy but still driven by an old school horror/sci-fi vibe. The trio joins the artist collective Eptagon in 2019, and records a new track for its first compilation.
The band starts to record Chair Liquide in summer 2019. Like the first one, the opus is mixed and mastered by Gastric Luke, who is also in charge of the very nice cover artwork.
