Terrapin: With Cümbüş and Korg Monotron…..
Terrapin - Zero Repercussions

Terrapin`s sound is rooted in psychedelia-infused folk rock, incorporating prog and folk jazz elements, at times veering into free improvisation. But time-honored songwriting remains the constant axis of their music. One way to describe there is, spaced ou folk music. The line-up: Vassilis Bas Athanassiadis – vocals, electric guitar, 12 string acoustic guitar, cümbüş, Korg Monotron, George Tzivas – drums, percussion and Kostas Sidirokastritis – backing vocals, bass, keyboards, electric guitar.
The Cümbüş is a Turkish string instrument of relatively modern origin. It was developed in 1930 by Zeynel Abidin Cümbüş as an oud-like instrument that could be heard as part of a larger ensemble. Cümbüş is shaped like an American banjo, with a spun aluminum resonator bowl and skin sounding table. The track The Woods,
How can you resolve what doesn’t want to be resolved?
How can you liberate what doesn’t know what it means to be free?
Standing on the edge of despair, taking in the breathtaking view,
Brittle as the covers of old paperbacks, wondering why the dogs didn’t bark.
There are always the ones around you less fortunate than you.
The children and the innocent animals and everything that lives and dies.
The measure of all things is stark raving mad from failing to measure himself.
So he’s reached a place where life has no value
Except as a means to achieve a non-life.
Think about that for a change, something beside yourself.
Go somewhere else for a change, somewhere outside yourself.
The woods aren’t only there to make you dream.
Zero Repercussions is Terrapin`s new album. The album was recorded and mixed by Gustav Penka at Suono Studio, Athens, GR. Mastered by Nick Townsend at Townsend Mastering, Costa Mesa, California, USA. The track (Prolonged Accusation) Mind Probe,
Mind probe
A legally grey spell
Unhappy wageslaves
Anti-image laws and mind control
A throwaway for every high security facility
Ferocious opponents on land and sea
Quickly lead to their demise
Captured enemies, motivated targets
Make it up and claim it to be true.
No repercussions for our actions
Mind probe and transfer ownership
Covertly from across the room
A house rule
Transfer ownership Vulcan mind style
Zero repercussions.
