Layne’s Calling, the newest alt-rock sensation from Louisville, Kentucky, have released their debut EP via Pavement Entertainment. The EP features six tracks and was originally recorded in the back of a trailer in Marengo, Indiana. The track Breake Me,

In late 2018, Joey Cox made the switch from guitarist to vocalist and spearheaded putting together Layne’s Calling. The band consists of Rich Brown (lead guitar), Brandon Smith (rhythm guitar), Matt Harvey (bass), and Nate Woods (drums). After the success of their first single Not Well, Layne’s Calling focused on touring with heavy hitters, such as Flaw and Knocked Loose. The single topped the Reverb Nation rock charts at number one on a local and national level in a week’s time.
Layne’s Calling stormed onto the scene in late 2018 with their release on “Not Well”. Since then the band has geared up for their debut self titled E.P. Joey Cox the bands lead vocalist spent 15 years playing guitar before transition to vocalist with his first release being Not Well and garnering attention from 434 Management and Pavement Entertainment and some different media agencies Joey Cox then decided to put together what is known today as Layne’s Calling to help create and release for their debut E.P.
Layne’s Calling is looking to bring a new but oh so familiar rock sound back and are quickly proving why they are here to stay as they topped the number one rock band spot on the Reverbnation charts not only locally but regionally as well within only a week of being on reverb and were also signed to a distribution deal by Pavement Entertainment just three days after their first release.
