Marche Funèbre states, «The March is coming… with the sound of DOOM!!» Einderlicht is the new release of Marche Funèbre snd its 4th full length album.
The Belgian quintet has built a steady reputation of making a unique blend of eclectic doom death metal, and their new album proves to be the pinnacle of their growth. Entitled Einderlicht, which translates as the light at/of the end, the new album brings all the elements known from Marche Funèbre: death, black, and doom metal in a unique mix, with strong melodies and a wide vocal approach.
The track When All Is Said, is song is about people who live in this day and age and are comparing themselves with everyone else‘s success on social media to see their own lives as worthless. Thus deciding their life is not worth living…
«Never change a winning team, so we recorded the new album with Markus Stock once again, known for his productions with such bands as Empyrium, The Vision Bleak, Alcest, Secrets Of The Moon, and countless more. Also for the artwork another magical creation by Brooke Shaden was used».
«The album consists of 6 songs, written between 2016 and 2019. Thematically we focused on the strange ability of mankind to deliberately decide to end one’s life. The title track Einderlicht is also our first song in Dutch».
The album is engineered, mixed, and mastered by Markus Stock and the lyrics on The Maelstrom Mute taken from Verrà La Morte I Avrà I Tuoi Occhi by Cesare Pavese.
Five dark music lovers sealed a pact and formed Marche Funèbre, doom metal their game. With several highly acclaimed releases under their belt, the Belgian quintet has built a steady reputation of making a unique blend of eclectic doom death metal.
After having released 3 full-length albums, Into The Arms of Darkness their latest offering in 2017, and some EP’s and split albums, the band will release their 4th full length album in autumn 2020. The long but very good track Lullaby Of Insanity from the 2017 album mentioned above.
Marche Funèbre is a band that lives for and on the stage, so in their 12 years of existence 150+ gigs have been done in over 15 countries. They toured with some of the scene’s most prolific bands, think of Primordial, Novembers Doom, Ahab, Saturnus, and the likes. All of this culminating in their first North American run of gigs, and countless gigs all over Europe, from Lisbon to Moscow.
