Convulsif: Mix a lot of musical influences…..
Convulsif - Extinct

There is a lot of exciting happening in Switzerland when it comes to music, and Convulsif is from Switzerland and is a very interesting music ensemble. I have always liked bands that want to do something original and distinctive without sticking to a particular genre. Bands that I can expect the unexpected from are very exciting to me, and they often mix a lot of musical influences. Convulsif blends jazz, noise rock, grindcore and math metal in their own way and do it in a great manner.
Swiss collective Convulsif have just revealed a new track from their forthcoming new album Extinct, which is set for release on October 23rd via Hummus Records.
Titled Feed My Spirit Side By Side, this track is now playing at Everything Is Noise, who commented «The artists that tastefully blend countless musical influences and styles into one cohesive experience to create something truly unique are always invigorating to listen to, especially with how much music is out there nowadays; Convulsif are one such group. With these musical visionaries, you are never sure what to expect and that is what makes the music so exciting». The track Torn From The Stone,
Recorded live at Blend Studio, the follow-up to their fourth album IV sees the group comprised of Jamasp Jhabvala (violin/electronics), Christian Muller (clarinet/electronic s), Loïc Grobéty (bass) and Maxime Hänsenberger (drums) pushing the boundaries of extreme and alternative music by fusing the intricacies of jazz music, the eerie textures of noise and the brutality of grindcore.
