The Flying Caravan: Paella, tapas and Flying Caravan….

The Flying Caravan - I Just Wanna Break Even

Spain have much to offer to the world as tapas, paella, siesta, flamenco, wine and much more. Included in more is much very good music and today we presents the very fine band The Flying Carvan. A modern and catchy prog ensemble spiced with some hints of Genesis and Camel and even some Canterbury elements. Some weeks ago the band released the double album I Just Wanna Break Even.

The Flying Caravan is fronted by guitarist Antonio Valente, and he is the founder of the very god Spanish band Numen. But seven years ago Valente concentrated to develop The Flying Caravan as a five piece formation. I Just Wanna Break Even from The Flying Caravan is another example of how many very talented band the Spanish prog scene have.

As mentioned above the album is a double album, and there are two real epic compositions. The music is melodic and is really dynamic in o very good way with contrast between soft music and to swinging rhythm. The band use  Minimoogs in a very nice way and the other instruments is also very good handled and even with a playing time close to 100 minutes The Flying Color never fails to lose my intention! Probably and hopefulle I Just Wanna Break Even is just the beginning of music coming from this Spanish ensemble.

Slikt krydderet finner man blant annet i musikk.
