The Italian band VEMM offers avant gard music and blend alot of music styles with a versatile experience. The VEMM (Very Excited Mad Musicians) was born in Rome in 2014, the brainchild of guitarist and author Emanuele Luigi Andolfi. The music has a Frank Zappa`s influence for the metrics and the eclectic musical structures. Prog rock, heavy metal, jazz fusion, funk and op meet sometimes even in the same song, sewn by lyrical ironic and poignant at the same time steeped in bitter reflection on the role of the musician in indecipherable Italian society today.
The album Compromesso is its sophomore album and are a journey on the border between reality and perception, by the protagonist Elea, who, in dialogue with various parts of herself, would like to free herself from the routine imbued with preconceptions and be reborn from the abyss of culture with an awareness capable of exhuming the treasures of humanity That make it real .
There are a vast multitude of voices and instruments that express Elea’s complex thoughts that evolve into a music that is constantly evolving, without ever repeating itself; all in a deceptively natural way. Setting-Macro-history: Elea is a high school student, about to take her final exams. She asks herself many questions about her future and about humanity. She makes these reflections through her diary to which she addresses with the You.
In this incessant dialogue, Elea alienates herself from the world, skipping parts of daily life, in a paradox in which, trying to find the meaning of her life, she loses its vividness. Along the way she manages to grasp a pattern at the basis of natural and human dynamics, and she divides this research into three chapters: Compromise, Conservation and Communication.
