Today we offers music that are not common on Permafrost as the music is synth pop!
The Belgium-based solo artist Syns premieres his new single and music video Speak The Same on all digital platforms. After years of rocking out on the bass-guitar with acts like postpunk band HunterStreet, Kasper transformed his bedroom in Antwerp into a synthesizer laboratory. His excess concepts were the start of solo project Syns. With rock in mind, he produces songs filled with analog synth violence, supported by danceable drum machine sequences.
Syns is an audiovisual project, where music combines with filmmaking in a unique way. Debut single Speak The Same is now released with the short-film, which translates the song’s theme of inner-conflict to a sci-fi setting. Together with collaborators the song was sculpted and eventually adapted to the short-film by international art collective Bruut Collective which is now released with the single.
Syns’ day-job as filmmaker also results in a well-filled YouTube channel, which was started over three years ago. At first the platform was only used to release music, but recently it has been growing with all kinds of synthesizer related experiments. By the end of March, a remix-initiative with multiple other musicians of different genres will be launched. These collaborations will be broadcasted online as an alternative to a live-show.
