Light By The Sea: Predicts a rich musical diversity…..

Light By The Sea - Chelsea Is A Mermaid And She's Soaking In

Light By The Sea release new single and music video Chelsea Is A Mermaid And She’s Soaking In

«I taste cherry cocktail

Like thousand juicy pearls

I wish I could kiss the lips

of those mysterious girl».

With this single, Light By The Sea predicts a rich musical diversity of their forthcoming debut album, to be released this autumn. Sitar, magical bells, mesmerizing vocal harmonies and continuous guitar lines add the enchanting vibe to this song that the couple is proudly premiering to the world.

Like the waves I’m tasting the shores of blue

I have no guide but paperlamps and a Polynesian tattoo

I’m watching over his shoulder feeling the need to dive deeper

Escape the arms and be my own ocean seeker

I taste cherry coctail

Like thousand juicy pearls

I wish I could kiss the lips

of those mysterious girls

Their braids are made of foam

Their nails are glossy shells

I’m bored on the surface

So get me outta here

Bell bell ding ding

Pour me another drink!

Oh show me your swimming pool

Yeah baby I think you’re cool

Let me undress, the test:

what you taste in the orange zest

Bittersweet or sweet and bitter

Ain’t no other girl who can do it better, do it better than me

Lick the salt from my lips

Cause only here you can taste my tears

In the ocean in the deep

No one knows when you weep

Green little fairy

In my bloody mary

Mermaid foam on the top is cherry

A scent’s accords with salt’n’rosemary

When are we going home madame?

Who can set me free?

I can’t see

I’m outta blue

The hands now are waving their goodbye

So I can sink into my old lullaby

Bye eye I

This song, like the sea, is lulling the listener into a trance of the hidden secrets and fantasies of a female mind. What we find on the bottom is our deepest illusion of where we truly want to be…

As for Chelsea, it is her big escape from her monotonous marriage. Preferably, she’d rather be surrounding herself with beautiful mermaid girls, than having a humdrum dinner with her rich husband.

Light By The Sea – a musical journey which wasn’t planned, but meant to be. Born during the quarantine times, this project is the lovechild of Eszter Anna Baumann and Davy Knobel, whose music consists of rock, avant garde and folk music elements with a catchy pop vibe. They recorded their first three singles with their producer Eddy Bopp this winter, and now they are ready to go back to the studio to finish their debut album, which will be released later this October. The track Eleanor,

Getting inspirations from their musical role models — Dead Can Dance, U2, The Brian Jonestown Massacre, Phil Collins, Clannad, Fleetwood Mac and The Dandy Warhols —, they map a unique sound of self-discovery and self-realization in their artistic realm, in which a lot of listeners will feel comfortable with as Light By The Sea’s aim is to bring back the ‘forgotten sound’ with their music. The track Crimson Sugar,

This is something completely different and something they are meant to be: Light By The Sea is the vision of a big production and they are ready to take over the continent’s coolest club and festival stages. Anna and Davy have already announced some of their upcoming shows, so make sure to follow them on their socials.

Slikt krydderet finner man blant annet i musikk.
