Proportion: Complex but very listenable, and with weird time signatures!
Proportions - After All These Years

The band describe themselves as, «PRoPoRTIoNS is a band of four dudes who have been heavily influenced by progressive rock, jazz fusion, and other out of the box music. If you enjoy and other surprises, you’ll enjoy PRoPoRTIoNS!».
PRoPoRTIoNS is an internet-based band playing original progressive music. The four members of the band have been involved in various Projects for several years, and the idea of making a whole album together became natural after making a few tracks together.
The idea is that any member of the band sends a rough demo to the others, and leave them free to add whatever they want. The basic structure has an originator, but the end result is a work between the four members. Proportions is about the joy of collaboration, bringing an idea to new levels.
Proportions is a multi-national eclectic prog band that was founded in 2018 by it’s four core members: Lennart Stahle from Sweden (guitars, flute, keyboards), Tomas Stark also from Sweden (keyboards, guitars), Denis Boucher from Canada (drums, percussion), and Andy Kubicki I from the U.S. (bass, keyboards, orchestration).
The quartet works over the internet, each one sending the other members rough demos and allowing each one to add their own input musically, then bringing it all together and fine tuning everything to create some excellent, dynamic, mostly instrumental tracks. In 2018, they released their first collaboration called Reboot and then in 2019, released their sophomore albums Visions From A Distant Past.
Their music melds jazz fusion with many different styles of progressive rock from prog folk to symphonic to experimental, dabbling all the while with some quirky time signatures throughout each track. The quartet often works with several guests to create their music before finalizing everything for each album.
Their music reflects several influences and would be recommended to fans of Mike Oldfield, The Mahavishnu, Gentle Giant, Pink Floyd, Alan Parsons Project and Larry Fast. After All These Years is the band`s third album, and starts with a very good pipe organ. The band says this album is their most Achieved artistic works from all the band members and also the gust musicians. There are much inspiration from the classic UK band and especially Gentle Giant but done with the band`s trademarks. The music is rather complex with multiple time signature changes.
