Marekvist – Solrenning

Solrenning is the debut album from the experimental folk prog band Marequist, and the music is spiced with Scandinavian vibes and they pay hostage to band as Änglagård, Ritual, Trettioariga Kriget, Wigwam and Kerrs Pink. Solrenning is a relatedly short album lasts for only 32 minutes and the songs are mostly pretty short. The album with um is brimming great grooves and vintage sounding riffs
Marekvist is from the southern part of Norway and have an impressing ethos and seamless shifting between different styles. One of the most impressing facets with the short album is the tightness with not an unnecessary tone, riff or improvisation. Marekvist is an octet with a rather impressive debut.
