Caravaggio was an Italian painter who was fundamental to the development of baroque painting. He is best known for his religious motifs, naturalistic style and marked use of chiaroscuro. Caravaggio’s influence was very great during the first decades of the 17th century. More than 400 years later, the prog band Carvaggio comes out with their self-titled debut album. An album with religious motifs as far as I know, but brimming with compelling prog music. Caravaggio’s offers a very varied and diverse music and with a hard-prog flirt among much others.
