Five-piece Midwest rockers Fight The Fade’s latest single On My Own continues the campaign towards their upcoming album, Apohysitis. On My Own departs from the band’s normal heavy and hard metal style to show their catchy alt and modern rock side with a powerful anthem for those moments when you just need to walk away and regroup. The single showcases Fight The Fade’s ability to be raw and brutally honest about a difficult situation and offer hope for the future, through thought-provoking lyrics, driving rhythms, and hard-hitting guitars.

Fight The Fade is a five-piece rock group hailing from the Midwest consisting of vocalist Zene Smith, guitarists Tyler Simpson and Bryan Conway, bassist Trevor Taylor and drummer Alyssa Worth. Formed in 2010, Fight the Fade has released three full-length records including Second Horizon (2014), Fight the Fade (2016), and In Love. in Hope. in Peace (2020) along with two EPs, What We Know (2012) and Masks (2018). The members have also toured relentlessly since their formation.

Known for pulling together influences from rock, metal, and electronic music, Fight The Fade has forged an unmistakable sonic identity that wraps heartfelt lyrical themes within a robust production style and delivers them with nuanced and diverse writing approaches. Fordi det å lære og utvikle seg er noe som tilfører livet en nødvendig porsjon "krydder". Slikt krydderet finner man blant annet i musikk. Ikke overraskende mener jeg at progressiv musikk har den fineste "smaken". På den annen side kan musikk med eller uten progressive elementer være godt nok til hverdags. Til fest derimot holder bare rendyrket prog! Må jo også få med at jeg rimelig kritisk, og jeg mener at det lages mye prog som er i beste fall uinteressant, og faktisk mye som er pinlig dårlig. Heldigvis oppveies dette av ekstremt dyktige aktører som for eksempel: Flower Kings, Mostly Autumn og White Willow, for å nevne noen tilfeldig valgte.
