Pale Horseman: Brings an imposing atmosphere with a crushing sound.

Pale Horseman – Exile

Chicago sludge lords Pale Horseman are streaming their formidable new single Exile. Landing ahead of the split album shared with Buzzherd Exile brings an imposing atmosphere with a crushing sound.

«The song was written by Eric Ondo and he does lead vocals on that one. It was the first song we completed of the new batch of songs, and it’s been a band favorite ever since. It was written during and inspired by the lockdown phase of the COVID pandemic here in the Chicago area. Ultimately the lyrical content ended up being about multiple plagues that have wiped out large numbers of people over the centuries, and how mankind has responded to managing the spread of the plagues. It also touches on the level of care/lack of care given to the infected and dying individuals, including the disposal of the contaminated corpses». – Andre Miguel Almaraz

With six full-length releases under their belts, Pale Horseman have also shared stages with the likes of Eyehategod, Crowbar and Bongripper, and performed at several festivals including Doomed & Stoned Festival, Beard Metal Fest and Full Terror Assault. Pale Horseman create a striking mood through dynamic driving guitars, compelling vocals and ferocious percussion. Exile is a poignant exploration of a dark subject, aptly conveyed through the intense instrumentation. Beginning with a slow pace, emerging through the eerie gloom, the track explodes into a colossal sound.

Haunting and chaotic, Pale Horseman have demonstrated no aversion to facing head on the murky waters of our existence. Hard-hitting and unapologetic, Exile is an enthralling release. The track Tundra from Pale Horseman’s album, For Dust Thou Art.

Slikt krydderet finner man blant annet i musikk.
