Nagaarum: Homemade
Nagaarum - Apples

Since the start in 2012 the metal band Nagaarum has with this year’s release Apples delivered 10 album. That is an impressing quantity of music, and the most of the music is fascinating in addition. Nagaarum started out in the beginning as a Ambient/Noise/Electronic metal band but later the music changed to experimental doom/dark ambient/black metal. Nagaarum is a one man band and the themes are often about science, space, nature and mankind.
The Nagaarum is born from the ashes of the band the Pigballoon. The Pigballoon was formed in spring 2008 of one musicians from the band Guilthee. The only member of the band chose to change the name when he decided to applying cult black elements for composing the songs. Then the name Pigballoon lost its reason to be used and Naggarum was the new name.
The first tracks was mostly ambient style. The album Űrerdő is very simple in musical aspect, monotonous and gloomy. It sounds raw, frowzy, or rough. The original idea was that the guitars, bass and the vocals could be handled by other persons, but the problem was solved by Nagaarum’s knee-illness. When his knees started to indicate arthritic symptoms he started to practice bass for the band Guilthee.
He had about one year to reach an acceptable level, and since it was successful he decided that the strings and the vocalization he would handle himself. The titles and the lyrics was English initially but they was translated to Hungarian later, and this method will stay this way. The songs are recorded at home mainly about zero budget for free distribution (digital versions – mp3). All the images, artworks, videos and the homepage are own work as well.
Apples is a natural continuation of Naggarum earlier works with even more ethereal voices and ambience and mysticism than ever before.
