The band Little Tragedy described their style as a battery of keyboards – drums – bass, hard rhythm section support and soloing keyboards. Little Tragedies has their very own style, influenced by classical music and heavy art-rock. The music of Little Tragedies is very melodic and always features a keyboard solo with an improvisation accent.

Little Tragedy is the brain child of the Russian musician Gennady Ilyin. Little Tragedies (ex. Paradox) was formed in 1988 by the composer Gennady Ilyin and guitarplayer Igor Mihel (Kursk, Russia). By 1995 the group became a trio with Ilyn on keyboards joined by Yuri Skripkin (drums) and Oleg Babynin ( bass). The band remained with this line-up through 2000 when Alexander Malakhovsky (guitar) and Aleksey Bildin (saxophone) joined the trio. Now late 2019 the band consist of ten musicians.
