The EP is due out on December 2nd, 2022 via Dark Star Records, and was produced by Chad Anderson (guitarist for Helion Prime). Vis Mystica with Winds Of Fate,

Vis Mystica is star wars-themed power metal coming from the mind of Pennsylvania’s Connor McCray, a massive fan of the franchise. So far, all of his lyrics have been his retelling of the Dawn Of The Jedi comics from Dark Horse Comics, and the first compilation of songs is ready for the galaxy in the debut EP “Celestial Wisdom” via Dark Star Records on December 2nd. The EP is produced by Chad Anderson (Helion Prime). The track Beyond The Gates of Fury,

Vis Mystica was initially formed by McCray, in late 2015 as a creative outlet to pursue his passion for symphonic power metal while he was still a member of a blackened death metal band at the time. It took nearly five years for the band to get off the ground but really began to pick up steam once McCray discussed it with his friend and bandmate Devin Dewyer. Once they realized the chemistry between them, they got to work on producing this initial EP. The track Lux Veritas,

Lyrics:

Visions from the abyss

Showed me a scarlet sea of flames in emerald fields

Shrouding the land before it in the blaze of hate and endless pain

A single light emerged

Shining sword of

sapphire breaks the night

and brings hope to all of us

They call me blasphemer

“Darkness has taken you”

Stolen away to the sunless place

Where light and truth hide from them

(Pre chorus)

When the burning ship shall fall

It Spells the doom for one and all

Heed the words of truths untold

Or you shall die upon the sword

Within the blazing flames of war

You will find the darkness’ call

When the burning ship shall fall

It Spells the doom for one and all

Heed the words of truths untold

Or you shall die upon the sword

(Chorus)

Ashla’s Call dies deep in hatred’s flame

When the blazing blade of light shall rise on high

Breaking Earth, storm of force will rage again

As light and truth now die in shadow

(Verse 2)

Truth, finally revealed

Here on the battlefield I stand

Glorious sword, bathed in light

Guides the way to victory

Through the throes of darkness

I slaughter without mercy

Foes fall around me I revel in death and decay

I am lost

The balance is gone, only darkness remains

igniting the fires of the blade
