Street: 純粋な喜び

Street - 海里

Sometimes I stumble across an artist or a band who ruthlessly combine a vast range of genres, almost creating a subgenre on its own. Browsing through music today I came across the creation of guitarist Kamiya Hiroto, called 海里 (Nautical Miles). The album mixes Japanese folk music, with jazz, different kinds of electronic styles, like glitch, breakbeat, kawaii and video game music. Listening to the faster parts of the record should put a smile on anyone’s face, because they filled with pure joy, while the slower parts has a more nostalgic tone to them.
