Hats Off Gentlemen It’s Adequate: Memory and identity

Stand Up is the first single from Hats Off Gentlemen It’s Adequate forthcoming album Out Of Mind. It is one of the rockier songs on the album. There are 12 tracks on Out Of Mind and all themed around memory and identity.

Out Of Mind will be released on CD on 25 Jan 2019, and digitally on 30 Nov 2018, but it is available as an exclusive pre-released digital download on Bandcamp  now.  Hats Off Gentlemen It’s Adequate are Malcolm Galloway and Mark Gatland on their own or with Kathryn Thomas (flute). They combine prog/alt-rock, funk, metal, ambient, contemporary classical, minimalist, and electronica elements, and often explore scientific themes. Actually Hats Off Gentlemen It’s Adequate has been recommended by Steve Hackett, and he does not say anything like that without this is  his opinion. Therefore, it is probably advisable to check out Galloway and Gatland and their musical project Hats Off Gentlemen It’s Adequate?!

Three tracks on Out Of Mind are inspired by Philip K Dick. One is inspired by the sci-fi novels of Ann Leckie. 1/3rd of the tracks are instrumental. 8.3% are inspired by Renaissance anatomy. 41.7% are related to science-fiction. Hats Of Gentlemen It`s Adequate hope to keep a unified feel on the new record, as in their previous albums they are open-minded about the genre. I really enjoy the band name!
