Karcius: Surprising and diversified music

Karcius is a band with a twist and comes from Montreal, Canada. Their adventurous musical vision sets them apart from the rest. Together they create a unique blend of rock, pop, African, classical, jazz, and ambient music. So far the band have released five records, and the new one The Fold was recently released. On the three first albums there were no vocal, but that duty have the bassist Sylvain Auclair taken care of in an excellent way.

With every album on an international distribution system, the band was able to break into new markets. It has enabled Karcius to gain global popularity in the art-rock music scene. Their performances in some of the most important progressive music festivals in North America, South America and Europe did not go unnoticed and created a growing interest. The dynamic personality of the band on stage is matchless and leaves no one unreactive. Karcius’s strength comes from their sense of unity and cohesion, which makes them hard-hitting and determined.

Karcius was founded in 2001. The group objective is to develop different musical ideas and explore styles to generate a surprising and diversified music. The improvisation and written music stand side by side generating a unique and particular musical concept. Karcius invites you in its universe of rhythms, color’s, images, emotions and ambiances.
