Værket: Urban to hinterland sounds
Værket – Young Again

Six pretty young Danish musicians and you have a relatively new and very promising eclectic prog act called Værket. The band was founded in 2014 and their debut Jealousy Hits came two years later. Some weeks ago the Copenhagen band released their sophomore album Young Again.
The band Værket is an accomplished sextet of musicians. Værket er Danish for work or the piece, it is the perfect moniker for a band that engages in a highly diverse set of styles in their compositions. The six players bring a broad range of weapons to the fray.
This many performers on one stage can surely lend itself to cacophony, but these gentlemen bring a very tight product to the table. With a core styling reminiscent of the earliest days of progressive rock, the bands incorporation of wind instruments into the mix brings a seeming collision of urban to hinterland sounds together.
