Thumpermonkey are from London and deliver a pretty special music. Listening to their new record, Sleep Furiously, I’m not entirely sure if they’re in any way normal people! The music is impressive and all the songs are well crafted. Thumpermonkey’s music is often exciting the attitude of punk with distinct prog as the main focus. The band mixes everything they feel too and the best part is that it often works very well. Some influence from the pop sensibility from Cardiacs and mixed with dissonance elements similar to what King Crimson sometimes could use. Expect the unexpected from Thumpermonkey!
