Moonfrost: Matured

Moonfrost is a black metal band from Switzerland and their lyrics are about topic like spiritualism, atmosphere, aggression, daydreaming, weltschmerz and social Criticism. Moonfrost was founded in 2001, diverse phases led to the release of the pagan black metal album “…Towards The Twilight Realm” in 2007, and the atmospheric black metal album Starfall in 2012.

For their third album III Moonfrost have matured enough to find their identity and create a close to unique blend of black metal. III is very close to what you would experience on a live show from the band, as it is authentic, honest and organic. Many of the songs are slowly building up and are quite calm at the beginning, and I finds that’s exciting. The moods of the Swiss is different from the most I have heard, and that’s never wrong.
